Birmingham Central Library was the main public library in Birmingham, UK, between 1974 and 2013. Designed by architect John Madin, the iconic building gained architectural praise as an icon of British Brutalism with its stark use of concrete, bold geometry, inverted ziggurat sculptural form and monumental scale.
Regrettably the building failed to gain listed status and was demolished in 2016. This art is my tribute.
